opera 45 always creates a pinned shortcut to taskbar

Every time I open the app, if the shortcut is not currently pinned to the taskbar, it will be. This just started happening with the latest update to version 45.

Version: 45.0.2552.635 (PGO) - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows 8.1 64-bit

I just stopped using Opera just for this issue. I relegate it to just taking space in my drive. I might start using it again in the future after this is fixed. I don't like Microsoft's tactics and I definitely don't like other companies copying them.
