      Hi All,

Win10 on my other laptop has crashed. No repair possible. I can only start in safe mode. So have no interweb connection.

Before reinstalling Win10 I want to backup my bookmarks.

How do I do that ?

I did browse the forum and used the search engine tofind an answer before posting yesterdays request for help. So please do not delete this post again.

      Thanks

      John

Your bookmarks are stored in a file named bookmarks inside Opera's profile folder. It is generally located in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable. You can confirm this by opening Opera, going to About Opera in the Opera menu, and reviewing the details in there.

You can access W10 in safe mode with network also, but if you can access locally then, once you access to your profile folder, copy the whole folder and use it again, just put it in the new Opera installation following Lando240's info.

The passwords will not work but the rest of the profile will do as in the crashed system.

Press Windows+R and enter %appdata%\Opera Software\Opera Stable. Then backup the files Bookmarks and Favicons.
