      Longtime Opera user.
Last 2 weeks latest ver 44 started crashing after 2 or 3 minutes.
Tried everything including deleting all traces of Opera (inc numerous registry ) from pc and clean installs of ver 44 and 43 both 32 & 64 bit. All crash the same way.
I suspect it's NOT Opera but the failure of a (win 10) service or clash with something.
Win 10 fully updated and have run sfc /scannow = ok - so not that.
Also noted that VLC crashes when try to play any video (but not until then).
Chrome & Edge working fine as just about everything else.
No recent software adds and only hardware change was clone of o/s drive to ssd - no know issues following that.
      All help appreciated.

        Try disabling hardware acceleration.

Hi leocq - have the Radeon HD5450 card installed - no option to turn off hardware acceleration found.

However - updated to win 10 Creators Update this morning (which updated all drivers too) and Opera 43 is fine at the moment - it's now updating to the latest stable so will let you know.

          Cheers

no option to turn off hardware acceleration found.

It's an Opera option, just search in settings (if needed).
