Sidebar misaligned with the Windows button

I'm currently hating that this sidebar is not aligned with the Windows button (as in print: http://imgur.com/a/yCCF4 ), as it gets annoying, they could leave the same size.

if they remove the shadow will be ok . i didnt like the Shadow its annoying +1

Sincerely without the shadow would end up getting weird, but could be optional

My Opera window doesn't even aligned with the (left) side of my display/monitor. There is always a space. Not sure what is up with that. I absolutely hate it. No other application does that.

The text on the menu button disappears when you pin the sidebar so that they do line up then, why should they line up otherwise?
