Error updating

Hi,

On my work PC I have a problem updating Opera:
44.0.2510.857 (PGO) - An error occurred while checking for updates

I can manually download from the website, I can use either web installer or full installer, but it seems that the update checker is stuck/blocked somehow. How can I diagnose why Opera can't update itself?

Same here for 44.0.2510.1159.
