"Today’s beta update brings valuable fixes for recent, annoying issues, as well as further improvements and security patches. It’ll be worth updating your browser for these fixes.
The most notable repairs:
– Smaller installer package.
– Fix for memory leak, when watching videos.
– Fixed problem for some pages not rendering, when opening in a new tab.
This beta was enriched with a <font color='red'>security patch</font> to prevent possible phishing with unicode domains (this patch is already included in the latest Opera Developer). Sites with possible malicious intentions are much easier to spot."

Today's update kills Opera Beta on my Mac. OS X 10.9.5. I was using Opera, got the notice to restart after it downloaded an update. It went down, the icon bounces in the tray a couple times but fails to start. Redownloaded from the website, web installer failed. Downloaded the offline installer, still fails to start. Pulled down Opera Developer, it doesn't even bounce, just an instant failure to start of any kind. Stable is still working so I'll drop back to that for now.

"Today’s beta update comes with a bunch of fixes and improvements. The most significant are listed below:
– Fix for adding bookmarks to ‘unsorted bookmarks’ folder.
– Bookmark's popup window shows the ‘View in bookmarks’ button, instead of ‘Finished’, when the page is already saved.
– Fixed crash, when opening file dialogs with Touch Bar (macOS).
– Removed space from the tab bar, when window is not maximized (Linux).
– Synchronized content is now displayed properly in the sidebar.
– New translations were integrated.
– "Customize start page" panel icon was changed, and panel's animation is more dynamic.
– Redirect requests for opera://plugins to opera://settings?section=plugins.
– Sidebar's look on Windows 7 was updated."
Chromium has been updated to version 58.0.3029.81.
Known issue: the badge's dialogs in address bar display incorrect content. Please note, that due to this bug, the removal of permissions to access the camera, microphone or location, must now be done manually in the Settings. You can do this by searching for the desired section in Settings, and then press the “Manage exceptions…“ button. A list will appear, from which you can select and remove permissions for the selected pages.

Youtube seems to be always buffering compared to Chrome. 200mbps/20mbps connection. Looks like I'll be using Chrome for a bit.

"We’re getting closer to Opera 45 stable, but there is still some time for fixing, and making sure the quality of this version fits our stable requirements. Please, let us know if there’s anything bothering you."
Highlights:
– Fixed problem with synchronization of elements in the sidebar (blinking icons).
– Fixed crash on startup, caused by problems in the sidebar.
– Resolved the issue of the UI not loading on start, and only displaying glass background.
No PGO 64-bit builds for Windows this time.

I'm using Opera Beta 45.0.2552.632 on Win7-64bit. Looks nice, especially with Dark Theme. In general I'm a big fun of any dark themes. But have some suggestions regarding the aesthetic part on Opera's Dark theme. Is it possible to make Speed Dial and Search box gray or even transparent? Also, the text in Bookmarks bar, a bit more gray would be great.
