Customize Menu Buttons: Opera 44.00 Windows 7 - I have spent hours on this with no results. All I want to do is customize the menu buttons. Maybe add download. Add zoom buttons. A home button.
Their is no right click like in FireFox. I have no Show Menu in Menu. I can't find an add on. Any advise that is available seems to be for a different browser.

There's no such feature in Opera.

            Or use the keyboard shortcuts.

BTW, Opera remembers domains zoom levels.

Thank You! I am a computer tech. I mostly deal with older people. FireFox has become S L O W at loading pages. It is very much like pulling teeth to get an old timer to change anything. I want to switch them to Opera but it's things like this that really throws a wrench in the works. With a simple right click and customize in FireFox I can drag and drop any one of many navigation button and with an addon I can even have a title under the Icon.
At least from the Menu I should be able to change every aspect of Opera but many things seem to be missing. How about show menu on top of the page. Where did that go. When opening a new tab why does it go to the modern ui rather then the page I picked?

How about show menu on top of the page. Where did that go.

Some people have been asking for it in Suggestions Box.

I think it's kinda unnecessary to have a menu wasting vertical space as you don't use it that often.

When opening a new tab why does it go to the modern ui rather then the page I picked?

Because there's no home page in Opera.

The extensions may help, QuickieZoom it's quite easy.

As of shortcuts, Olde Opera had/has it Shift-something rather than like now.
Nowadays most software uses universal shortcuts, save some Old School applications that maintain a certain level of customisability. Ctrl shortcuts for zooming are universal for most software now, at least browsers, so it won't be unwise to just introduce such knowledge to your olders. :sherlock:

I used Opera for years and dropped it after the menu bar disappeared, I thought i'd try it again after seeing something about Opera reborn ~ super fast and perfect in every way , except 1. No menu bar means uninstalling it. They tried this with Firefox and people demanded the menu bar be returned and it was. Wake me up when it returns to Opera.
