Flash setting changes when switching on vpn

I have just started using the vpn option and have noticed each time that I switch on the vpn setting my flash setting changes to click to play from the detect and run as I usually keep it at. It does that on my laptop opera as well. Am I the only one experiencing this or is this some kind of bug?

Feature, actually. Flash itself doesn't go through the VPN, so having Flash start automatically would allow the site to know where you are.
