Mouse gestures with touchscreen?

Is it at all possible to use the mouse gestures with a touchscreen? I have Opera on my Surface Pro 3, and I'd like to be able to swipe around on the screen to navigate but it doesn't seem I'm able to do that.

Does it work the same as modern touchpads? Using two or three fingers might work.

As far as I can tell all I can do with the touch in Opera is Pinch to zoom and move in directions to pan. If the touch requires right click that means i have to hold it down for a second to do what normal right clicking does.
