For the past few hours, when ever I try to load a youtube video it would display a message "An error has occurred. Please try again later." And when I refresh, it would do the same thing but will suddenly jump to an older version of the youtube player(looks and has the functions of the mobile web version) and play the video. Said version of the youtube player lacks a few functions I often use, like the loop function.
Here's a list of things I tried:- Restart Opera
- Re installed Opera
- Re install Adobe
- Restart my wifi and router
- restart my computer
- Cleaned all my cookies and cache twice, then restarted Opera again
Please help, thanks

If you're using the latest version of Opera ( 43.0.2442.806 (PGO)) then you shouldn't need Adobe Flash to play videos on youtube as they should be using the HTML5 player
you could try installing the latest version of Adobe Flash 24.0.0.221

I have a similar problem whereas I cannot see news item video on my local newsfeed (9news.com.au).
The picture is greyed out but the audio is good. I am using Opera version 43.0.2442.806 and have reinstalled Adobe flash player version 24.0.0.221 but nothing improved. Could the fact that I am using the Opera VPN have anything to do with it? Microsoft edge works fine but Firefox also has a problem.
Any ideas anyone, please? -

They are YouTube videos? If not then it's unrelated issue and should be discussed in another topic.

Youtube works with other browsers?

Testing with other browsers could help you to skip steps 2, 3, 4. Despite that, if u reinstall Opera uninstalling before, (not making a repair), but do not delete Opera user data (profile) it's useless since the problem will remains once Opera runs again, try with other browser to check if it's just an Opera problem, then just try with another profile: Read here to test with a new profile

As always with these things start by firing up private mode (control-shift-n) and try again. If things work while in this mode then it's almost certain that a plugin is causing problems for you.
Next also check your settings (alt-p), the "websites" section to be exact. You'll find some very specific settings in there, such as "Allow sites to run Flash" which could be of some influence here.
Hope this can help.
