How to disable suggestions forever.

Hello!
Everything is in the title. I would like to disable suggestions forever.

• First I have found the cross on the top right of suggestions area. It works, but for
  some reason it reappears after a few days.
• Next, I found out that any of the suggestions can be disabled with a popup menu
  on its topright, but it's time consuming.
  Is there a setting somewhere to disable suggestions forever?

If you go to the start page's settings (in Windows, by clicking the little cog is the top right corner, to the right of the search bar ... I'll presume Mac is the same) there will be a checkbox for suggestions - if you clear that, they are gone.
