Search box is gone in Opera

I had a computer crash, and the Opera browser was changed. I have to re-download the extension, then they disappeared. Moreover, it is only the address bar and not a private search field as it was before. How should I get back search box which was situated to the right of the address bar and on the same line?

Only the old Opera had that. For several years now the address bar has also worked as search bar. What extension did you download? Who ("they") disappeared? What do you mean by "private search field"? What version did you have before?

Menu > Settings > Browser

scroll to the bottom and select "Show Advanced Settings"

under "User Interface", select "Enable search box in the address bar"
