Hi All,
I just installed Opera 40.0, at first i didn't bother checking the installation options but i was surprised when i saw that I could log into my mail/social network accounts without having to type my password.
Then I re-installed Opera and saw that it was done because 'import from default browser' checkbox is set by default. My concern is that these passwords/login are supposed to be protected by master password on my firefox browser. So I would assume that other software wouldn't be able to use them.
On the other hand, when looking for saved passwords in opera settings, I see none of them.
Can someone explain how can Opera:
(1) access password protected data owned by another browser
(2) be able to log into any website without having any of the passwords being saved from Opera perspective (i.e in settings menu)Thanks !
OS: Windows10
Version of Opera: 40.0 -

How Firefox's master password works? Does it encrypt the data in the passwords file?
