Does Opera Mobile Classic have or allow the ability to customise it's startup/exit settings ?.

Yes!, I know I'm late to the table in asking for help/support/information for a dead/unsupported/archaic mobile browser, even though I have been using it for years on various mobile platforms. But hey!, it's not like I am expecting updates or upgrades for it now, is it ?.
Anyway, back to the point in hand. Is it possible to customise the start-up of Opera Mobile Classic so that it either starts up with no tabs (speed dial is fine) or enable the ability to close all tabs (except speed dial, obviously) or disabling the 'Continue from last time' ability when exiting/closing Opera Mobile Classic via the 'O-Menu / Exit' option (which I have enabled) ?.

you may edit most settings in (opera:config)
but i have been tired that the above what you wrote, and i don't think it's possible to disabling them
if you hate those features, just drop opera mobile classic for other webbrowser, i will do so, if firefox is supported with my motorola milestone... -

'Continue from last time' ability when exiting/closing Opera Mobile Classic
1.close all the tabs before you exit, this will work for sure
2.use the android built-in (application manager) to close opera mobile classic, i haven't tested this on my brother's motorola milestone phone. but it works for my (nokia 5800 symbian s60) phone
hold the opera mobile icon for 2 seconds, then you can move the icon to where you want
