Opera 39 Start Page does not start with Speed Dial

1. It starts with a blank black page - see here - http://screencast.com/t/AQVIEwbyvYg

2. I then have to click on Tab menu function in menu bar to display Speed Dial - see here - http://screencast.com/t/o7PLpr6Boy

What I want is to have Speed Dial open as soon as I start Opera

Have you got "Open the start page" set in the browser "On startup" section of the settings?

We solved this issue by simply restoring a Win 10 backup partition - thanks to those who replied

Strange, I wonder what happened there then!
It's possible that you had some sort of browser hijacking malware infection that restoring the partition has removed.
