How to install xpi file

I have Addblock Plus extension installed with Opera version 39.0.2256.48 on Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64).
Now I have downloaded "Element Hiding Helper" as file: "element_hiding_helper_for_adblock_plus-1.3.9-fx+sm+tb.xpi".
"Element Hiding Helper" is a companion extension for Adblock Plus meant to make creating element hiding rules easier.

Q:
How can I install this extension to Opera?

• When I open this xpi-file with Opera, then Opera just downloads the same file again.

I'm not sure if Opera supports xpi files.
