Very long extension moderation process

I just want to post my opinion about very long moderation process for extensions.

I submitted GNOME Shell integration extension for moderation one week ago and it's still in "Awaiting moderation" state.

To compare, same process (as I think - automated) in Chrome Store takes several minutes and in Mozilla addons - several seconds.

In 2 weeks I plan to release new version of extension.
Will moderation process of new extension version takes a week+?

At Opera they really check the extension code.

If you read 1st message that you must know that my extension was submitted a week ago from 15 Aug - that is 8 Aug.
Today is 18 - that is 10 days in total. Which holidays did you mean?

When I submitted my extension, it took one day. So as @leocg says, I think it's because of vacations.

As Opera moderators really check extension's code, looks like the more code your extension has the longer moderators will review it.

I have 2 small extensions and their review usually takes moderators 1 day. Minimum it took half a day and maximum - 3 days.

My extension has been sent for moderation on August 29. Today, September 7 and still Awaiting moderation.

So far it's over a month for me. The Mozilla team also goes through the code and these days it takes a day worst-case. Chrome is 45 minutes. Safari was slow too, but they've stepped it up with App Store integration. The reason I'm submitting is via a user's request for Opera support, and Opera really isn't doing itself many favors here, IMO.

To say the truth - I was wrong. Mozilla's moderation process is longer.
For now I'm waiting more than a month for Mozilla's review.
