Very long extension moderation process

@oinkandstuff This is an abnormal situation if the browser does not have enough specialists, then it would be correct to introduce paid moderation for those who need to do plug-in updates regularly, or request more documents in the case of online stores and commercial companies and disable the need for moderation for them.

17 days after submitting, an update to my extension was still not published. So I opened its page and, in the General tab, switched on the checkbox I want my extension to be available for auto-publishing. Also, in the Conversation tab, I entered a remark explaining the situation and asking if there was anything else I needed to do to make the new checkbox setting effective. Although I have not received a answer to that question, my extension was published 59 minutes later. Lesson learned: Switch on the checkbox I want my extension to be available for auto-publishing.
I wonder why Opera exposes that checkbox. The accompanying text implies that not all extensions will meet the criteria for auto-publishing. But it does not cost anything to try, other than some CPU time on Opera's server, so I wonder why the system does not just try auto-publishing automatically for all extensions and updates? That must be the way the Chrome and Firefox stores work – my Chrome and Firefox extensions are always approved within minutes.

Hi
Why has nobody answered me for more than six months?
What to do to get in touch with a "live moderator", and not a robot?
For 3.5 years, 1 (!!!) time the add-on was only moderated.
What needs to be done to be published? -

Its been more than a month, I have uploaded 2 extensions but I have not received any feedback yet. How much time does it take to review extensions on Opera.
Please help!

But, the extension has not been verified yet.I understand COVID-19 situation, but in December 2019 my extension 0.2.14 checked more then two month. And now, old moderator conversation deleted! Perfect!!!

I still do the same mistake by publishing updates for my extension on Opera. I'm waiting since Oct. 2018 for a new review.

@haterapps Do you try opting in to automatic reviewing?
Also, Opera can install extensions from chrome.google.com/webstore. Just make sure your version there has any workarounds for Opera (if needed), so that it works fine in Opera.

Are you sure of that? The last time I checked (which was years ago), Opera did not support installs from the Chrome Web Store. Vivaldi does. Edge does. Brave does. So now, Opera does? When did that change?

Yes.
When did that change?
Don't remember, but it seems like a long time ago to me.

@burnout426 Yes, I did enable the automatic review a month ago, but still nothing.
I have my extension up to date in other stores (Chrome, Firefox and Microsoft). It's only here where it's 1.5 years outdated.

We submitted a new version of our extension in February, two months ago. Such a long review process hurts us and our clients. Is there any way to make it faster?

On May 29, 2020 it is going to be a year since I submitted Ant Video downloader extension for moderation.
Since then I pushed 5 new versions already, all hanging in 'Awaiting moderation' state:
- Version 4.7 – Apr 21, 2020 11:12:22 AM
- Version 4.6 – Mar 12, 2020 9:21:46 AM
- Version 4.5 – Feb 11, 2020 3:10:43 PM
- Version 4.4 – Dec 10, 2019 5:02:56 PM
- Version 4.3 – May 29, 2019 11:52:08 AM
Sent a message at the Conversations tab — no response.
The same version for Mozilla Firefox is being published on AMO for I don't know how many years:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/video-downloader-player/Publishing process there is automated and takes only several minutes. But even back in the old dark days when they were manually checking add-ons it still took days, not even weeks.
Here at Opera it seems to be a lottery: some add-ons are getting updated regularly, others are waiting in line for weeks / months / years.

Hello!
On Apr 3, 2020 we submitted new version of extension (id: 244169), but no any feedback so far from moderator. We have been trying to publish our extension since December 2019, but we cannot because of the terrible moderation. Only part of our versions has been checked. In checked versions I see only automatic verification. No major complaints about the code. Why automatic verification takes so match time?
Our application has been available in chrome and mozilla stores for a long time. I can say that guys from Mozilla really checks the code and do it fast enough (3-5 days).
