Turbo test disappointing
I just saved the following page, [http://www.express.co.uk/celebrity-news/691536/Prince-snatched-up-Purple-Rain-house-for-117-000-eight-months-before-his-death] with both Opera turbo setting and Firefox.
Opera turbo: 6,497,528 bytes
Firefox: 5,369,036 bytes
What gives? I was hoping Opera would help me stay under my Hughesnet download cap.
So is there a way to demonstrate that Opera cuts bandwidth or are we to take this on faith?
You would have to measure the downward traffic volume when Opera freshly opens the page, both with and without Turbo activated.
Right, use a USB modem - they usually show the flow.
