Just bring back an option for tab stacking!

  • I am a Opera fan since 10 years. I am very patient and will further use Opera in future. But please bring tab stacking back. My browser is hopelessly overcrowded of tabs.

  • I also vote fro this.

10.60 is running perfectly smooth for me, stackable tabs, faster loading of pages and that good old glorious opera stuff they were famous for!!

  • Yes please, please integrate tab stacking feature again. I'm a old user of Opera, i began to use it for its uniqueness and cutting edge originality, and because it was from our beautiful neighbor Norway hehe... i think it was -98 or something like that, and further on when the browser was trail ware! So please hear me out, get back to the roots and implement that made you famous, uniqueness and originality! 🙂

  • @mickeopera: Are you also from Sweden?

BTW, nowadays the desktop browser is mainly developed in Poland, so they are the ones you should butter up now 😉

  • @gustavwiz oh didn't know that, thanks for the heads up! 😉

  • Please bring back this feature. I will uninstall version 29 and re-install version 12.17 wich had the feature.

  • Tab Stacking is an amazing feature please implement it in the new Opera. Vivaldi doesn't do it very well, not like Opera 12 did it - Smooth, clean and thumbnail previews. The reason I still have Opera 12 installed is because of tab stacking and Right Mouse button gestures. Hope to see these soon in the new Opera. Thanks.

  • Bring it back.

  • Still no sign about that feature?

  • all these years of using Opera and i am honestly looking to change. so sad Opera soft. bring back the functionality! close tab undo, and TAB stacking. thank you

Undo closed tab is working... "Ctrl + Shift + T" or button next to minimalize - there are last closed tabs

  • Opera people! Another long time user here... still using v 12.16(how can I upgrade to v 12.17?) saying once again for all long time users... It needs to come back! It is not novel, cuter or whatever you think it was to have Opera without this feature! Among other good things that made v 10 - 12 the best internet had!

  • Any other browser with this tab stacking function today? getting sick of hoping they reimplement it. (the main reason I started using opera).

either you agree to lack some new features and technologies, go back in time and use the M05T P0WERFUL, THE G0D OF 4LL BR0W5ER5, THE M45TERPiECE, HI5 H0LY GRE4TNE55... OPERA 12.17 ...M4Y iT BE BLE55ED 4ND RE5T iN PE4CE

or try the still-in-work technical preview release of Vivaldi https://vivaldi.com

  • The problem with Vivaldi is that I don't like their implementation of tab stacking at all.

  • i need tabs stacking too, pls bring back!

The same discussion on Chrome - second answer is from Google - "thanks, we're thinking about it".

This is an users' forum, you should not expect any answers from Opera here although it may happen ocasionally.

This kind of answer may lead users to think that the feature will be imolemented, when it may not be true.

  • I think they will "add" this feature when it will be implemented in Chrome, since nowadays Opera is just a fork of Google Chrome. My opinion: with a new engine it will take too many efforts for developers, therefore it will not be implemented in Opera independently. It also explains the silence from the developer's side - they do not want to "lose face".
