Windows Updates won't install

I have Opera 38 and still use Windows 7. For two months or more now I have tried to download Windows updates, but they won't install. I am wondering if something in Opera security is blocking it. They are security and Silverlight and such. Anyone?

So the problem is with downloading the updates or with installing them? If the problem is with the installation then you should contact Microsoft as it isn't an Opera issue.

The notification tells me there are 15 "Important" updates and one Optional one. I have tried all at one time and I have tried one at a time, and it says "Downloading 1 update, O KB total, O KB complete," an d it just sits there like that and never installs. I have tried many kinds and sizes of updates and none will do any different.

They are the automatic updates that Windows sends out weekly or bi-weekly. Security updates stuff like that. There's a little icon that pops up in the bottom right of my computer screen that says "updates are available, click here to download."

So i guess you will have better luck on a Windows or Microsoft forum. This one is for the browser Opera.
