Hello, when using Turbo mode, will the browser use more or less data (varying levels of compression) based on my current connection speed? In other words, if I disable my LTE data connection and only use the slower 3G connection, will Turbo mode use less data? Or will it use the same level of compression regardless of the available bandwidth? I thought I read somewhere that it uses varying levels of compression based on the connection speed but now I can't seem to find that article again. I may have been mistaken but I want to be sure.

      Thanks!
      Eric

Does anyone know of somewhere else I can ask this question? Does opera have a tech support email? I've looked around but am not coming up with much.

        Thanks,
        Eric

I didn't think Mini had a "Turbo Mode" - that is to say, I thought it was always in the equivalent of Turbo mode.

Try posting it to the latest Mini-related post on the Mobile blog, or else write it as a feature request in the "Suggestion box" forum here.

Hey Eric! Generally the level of compression does not differ depending on the type of the connection. The network conditions can be shaky in certain areas and they can change over the course of a single request, therefore making it quite difficult to use good adaptation techniques. On Android clients however (it probably does not apply to you since you're using the iOS client) there's an option turn off compression on WiFi networks.

              Thanks! That answers my question
