Can I make Opera Next use the same Folder for new versions?

I got these folders atm:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera Next\37.0.2178.43
C:\Program Files (x86)\Opera Next\37.0.2178.54
They are both ~132mb in size, so I assume upon a new version a completely new folder is created with all the contents.
The wasted space isn't an issue (I think it only keeps 1 old version anyhow?), but the opera.exe executable changing locations each time Opera gets updated is giving me a slight headache each time.
Is there any way to make Opera.exe always start from the same path?

Opera should not be started from opera.exe, it should be started from launcher.exe which should be in the root of the installation folder.
The two folders you mention are the files from the current version and the files from the previous version, and that is normal for Chromium-based browsers. Google Chrome does exactly the same. I assume the idea is that it keeps the previous version's files so you can easily revert to it if there are any problems with a new version.
Launcher.exe should automatically run the correct version.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for the confusion.
My issue is that the executable opera.exe changes the folder it resides in.
I start it via the launcher.But since you mentioned this being normal behavior, is there a way to change it, and have it not use the version numbers as folder names?
Like so that it would be \currentversion and \lastversion, and thus the locations wouldn't change after an update.Thanks

I just checked my Google Chrome, and it runs in \google\chrome\application\chrome.exe, and also does so after I just updated to 51.0.2704.84 m (and I've got my fingers crossed that is actually up to date!)
So... Can I get Opera to behave the same way?
