Video Problems - Xfinity and The Weather Channel

Let me write this right up front -- I love Opera 37.
Having noted that, I'm having a problem understanding why Opera 37 fails to run videos on The Weather Channel (www.weather.com), but Vivaldi plays them without any problems. Likewise, if you go to xfinity (comcast.net) and try and view television shows and things of that nature, again, Opera 37 fails to view them but Vivaldi will play them with ease.
Question -- what does Vivaldi have that Opera 37 does not? When viewing videos, what is different between the two that causes success or failure of such viewing.

I am having the same problem. Video is hit and miss. Especially live video like from a an AXIS 211A video camera. Just will not play...but then sometimes, rarely, it works fine.. Stumped
