limeysolutions last edited byI am running Opera 38.0 on Xubuntu 16.04 and having the same issue. I do the following... -
open Opera
-
maximize the window
-
close Opera
-
open Opera again
...it's not maximized I tried changing the maximized setting in the preferences file to true (with Opera closed), but it ignores it and changes it back to false.

red-wizard last edited byI see this issue in KDE4 on Linux Mint 17.3. It's not just affecting maximization, either. Opera refuses to remember its window resolution whenever the window is sized to 100% of the monitor's vertical resolution.

rjvbertin last edited byIt actually seems to affect all geometry aspects except possibly position.
Restoring fullscreen or vertically-maximised is usually possible with a single key or mouse click, having to resize to a desired size is a lot more annoying.I'll file a bug about this.
