Hello,
I have the last version of Opera in Xubuntu 16.04 and Arch Linux. But when I run the program never executed maximized and I have to clic the button to do this. How can I make this accion automatic?
Thanks.

This solution don't work for me http://forums.opera.com/topic/5476/opera-not-starting-maximized
I has the option maximized "true". -

I am running Opera 38.0 on Xubuntu 16.04 and having the same issue.
I do the following...
-
open Opera
-
maximize the window
-
close Opera
-
open Opera again
...it's not maximized
I tried changing the maximized setting in the preferences file to true (with Opera closed), but it ignores it and changes it back to false.

I see this issue in KDE4 on Linux Mint 17.3.
It's not just affecting maximization, either. Opera refuses to remember its window resolution whenever the window is sized to 100% of the monitor's vertical resolution.

It actually seems to affect all geometry aspects except possibly position.
Restoring fullscreen or vertically-maximised is usually possible with a single key or mouse click, having to resize to a desired size is a lot more annoying.I'll file a bug about this.
