Opera freezes when starting

Hallo,
since some days I have the problem that Opera freezes for about a minute when starting. It also freezes when I add a bookmark to the root folder "bookmarks bar" (Lesezeichenleiste). If I add a bookmark to a sub folder this works.
What can I do to fix this?

- Your browser version?
- Do you use other browsers?
- Type of your Opera installation - if it's standalone or other customised install.
- For how long have you been using Opera? When did the problem start and under what circumstances?

I may be hijacking this thread now but I've got the exact same issue. Every time I launch Opera it hangs for 30 - 60 sec on the first page it's trying to open. After this it works fine. However, sometimes it crashes to desktop as I try to close a page / shut down the browser. There's definitely an issue or two as it comes to loading as well as leaving a web site.
Current specs
Version:36.0.2130.75 - Opera is up to date
Update stream: Stable
System: Windows Vista 64-bit (WoW64)It's not a standalone installation since it's been upgraded several times (for several years). I might try a totally indepedent installation.

The ideia of test using a standalone installation is to (try to)check if the problem may be related to (something wrong in) the profile. If the problem can't be reproduced in a standalone installation then there's a high change that it may be caused by a broken profile, a setting or such things.
