[Solved]Opera suddenly uses italics only

This afternoon, after I turned my computer back on after lunch, Opera suddenly started using italics only. Eg in FaceBook -- every thing is in italics. Using latest version of Opera, Windows 8 pro operating system, screen font set to arial. This morning everything was fine. Totally bizarre and irritating. Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes tried reboot and checked the font settings. I suspect a reinstall might fix the problem but due to Opera's pathetic handling of bookmarks, I'm not keen to do this. That is, until I've somehow saved them.

Check that specific font in another program. Twice I've had (I believe) a Windows update lose the default font and had the same result.

Fixed it. Closed Opera. Uninstalled Arial font from windows. Opened Opera -- checked it was using a different font. No problems. Closed Opera. Reinstalled Arial font. Opened Opera. No problems. Back to normal.
