import contacts from WLM

I cant seem to import my contacts from WLM

What format can you export them as from Windows Live Mail? There is an online convert for CSV at least.

In WLM, select the contacts you want to export and click the export button. Choose CSV and name the file contacts.csv.

For the fields to export, make sure only "name" and "email address" are selected to keep things simple for your first try.

Then, goto http://hallvord.com/opera/conversion1.htm choose your contacts.csv and choose to convert. On the next page, you need to pick what column in the csv file is for what value (open the csv file in a text editor to see what I mean). Choose "Full Name" for the first entry and "E-Mail" for second. Then choose "convert now" to get your adr file.

Then, in Opera, goto "Menu -> settings -> import and export -> import contacts" and point it to the adr file.

If that works fine, you're good to go.

If it's not right and you want to try it again (maybe pick more fields to export and import), you can just delete all the contacts in Opera, empty the contact trash and try again.
