Opera developer x64 blocking download .exe

All the latest versions of opera has been blocking all my downloads of exes. It's even blocking opera updates from the ftp.

Why?

I know that Opera now shows a warning for potentially dangerous files when downloading them but it doesn't block the download.

Check extensions and softwares like AV or any antimalware.

well, it does not block other extensions than exe, and since ex. maxthon can download exe files i guess its a opera only problem :s

Well, i can say that i don't have such problem here on Windows 10.

Does it happens with all exe files from any site?

yes. but i guess it has worked for a wile until recently (always breaks after updates and stays that way). i guess a total reinstall of opera will work. I think this has something to do with a chrome functions (like safe download or something)
