      Hello World of Opera! 🙂

I've noticed that with the latest update there's some new "feature" as I'm closing last tab (or the only one tab opened). Opera started to behave like other browsers - now it will close entire window and will never open a new tab as it used to do before. So my first question here is this done by purpose? Can I bring back the "old" Opera's reaction to closing last tab?

Second thing is the search box in the speed dial. With the new speed dial layout we've lost the search box (the magnifying glass icon right top corner) and got the speed dial settings. I was able to bring back the search box by:

      • going to opera://flags/#news-on-startpage and selecting "Disabled" from the drop-down
      • going to opera://flags/#start-page-config and selecting "Disabled from the drop-down

It was great to have it back but now with the latest update - this box is dead and doesn't react to text typed in there.
Quite funny is that at the same time when I jump into some FOLDER from speed dial I've got the search box there and it works perfectly.

It has to be a BUG... Any ideas how to fix my search box? When I have 100 dials on my main page it's really hard to find something there.

After auto upgrade to version 37.0 I have lost most of my work related saved pages in speed dial. I want my old speed dial back and my links too. How to do that????

I don't know why you are posting in someone elses thread with an unrelated problem. Anways, are they in the bookmarks manager anywhere?

Yeah, we removed the SD search from the Start Page. You can still search your Speed Dials through the Bookmarks.

As for the issue with browser closing - this is weird. If there is only one Opera window - we are not allowing to close the last tab there, in fact there shouldn't even be a button to close the last tab on the last window.

Well, that's a very bad idea IMHO. :XP: I really enjoyed the way Opera filters out the speed dials while typing in the search box and now while typing it in the address bar it doesn't even show you it's already a speed dial. OK - it does as long as you don't have a long browsing history (no dots on the left side just the "clock" icon or "web" or "google").

It works under folders so currently it looks like it was taken down by accident.

It occured for one day on my PC so lets leave this point. And you get the "X" on the only one tab once you get to some page. 😃
