Opera won't launch - brand new install

Hi all,

I just installed the latest Opera browser on my Win 10 Pro laptop. It's fairly new and clean.

Install seemed to run okay but at the end prompted me to setup my preferences for apps in the Windows system.

After that I tried launching Opera. I get the spinning circle but then nothing happens. It doesn't appear at all in Task Manager. Just nothing.

Tried installing again but nothing changed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Some firewalls can block unknown processes that try to access the internet - what sort of security software do you have?

It is running McAfee. On a private home connection at the moment.
