VPN on Windows not working

I downloaded the latest developer version of the browser and tried to access google mail and yahoo mail. Both attempts were unsuccessful. I noticed the VPN badge in the address bar is orange and the virtual location drop down list is empty. Does it mean the VPN is having issues getting through the corporate firewall/security software on my desktop? I was hoping the opera vpn solution would work in my setting.

I am getting the same error issue. Funny thing is that the VPN worked a week ago without a problem.

Yes, same here. I installed the developer V37.0.2178.43. VPN worked then but has now stopped working with a "coming soon" message next to the 'enable VPN' tickbox in settings. I saw somewhere that the response to inbuilt VPN was far bigger than expected so maybe the traffic volume broke it for now. I will check back now and then for it to be resolved.

I have the same problem I have the latest Version of Opera. I just downloaded the browser and the VPN has yet to work. It is orange and the drop down menu for countries is empty. It says it is connecting and browsing is not impacted

Have the same issue for over a week. Latest Version Dev Beta 39.0.2234.0 did not fix the issue... but let's face it, we're in beta.
