Hi everyone, I am using a TalkTalk Mail account on my Windows 10 machine and I reinstalled Opera mail to latest version. It downloaded only 15 of my messages and when I check for New Mail, it says Fetching messages (0/597). The downloaded messages are all dated Feb 2016, so the missing ones are all prior or after this date. All the missing messages are shown if I logon to my webmail account, so I know that the missing messages are still on the server, how can I get them to download to Opera Mail. All help appreciated.
      David

Did you set it up as a POP3 or IMAP account?

Thanks for your reply, I have tried both but can't get it to retrieve missing mails. I have now tried eM Client which works great so I will probably stick with that now. Many thanks.

If you decide to mess with Opera Mail again, there are a few things you can try. Here's one:

You can log the connection and look at the log. If Opera is getting stuck at a certain message or there's an error with a certain message, use a web mail or other client to move that message to another folder. Then see if Opera Mail fetches the missing messages.

Before you do that, close down Opera and rename the "mail" folder. See "Menu -> help -> about Opera Mail" for the location. Then, when you start Opera Mail, add the account back in (do not import anything and choose IMAP). That way, you'll be working with a fresh mail folder when testing.

If you get Opera to fetch more messages, but not all, examine the log again and see if there's another message that's causing a problem.
