can't view pdf's in browser

recently, when I click a link to a pdf, it downloads but is not viewable in the browser. No problem viewing pdf's on the computer, just online via the browser. Opera Version: 36.0.2130.46 Thanks

Visit (type in your address bar) opera:plugins to check if you have PDF Viewer enabled.

In fact I had acrobat viewer enabled, as I always have. However switching to Chrome Viewer did the trick. I guess that's what the newest Opera supports.

Acrobat is a npapi plugin and those are no longer supported.

Opera no longer supports adobe or foxit. It will be up to the developers of each to write a compatible plugin. That won't happen until chrome stops supporting them.

Chrome already doesn't support them anymore either.
