user profile directory

I was using Opera when it shut down. Upon reopening the follwing error message was displayed 'can't open user profile directory, because you lack sufficient privileges' There was further comment about contacting the administrator.

I uninstalled Opera, downloaded the latest version and reinstalled but I am still getting the same error message.

Advice please.

Did you delete the previous profile folder?

No I didn't delete the profile folder, just used add/remove feature to uninstall. How do I delete the profile folder.

My operating software is W10.

How do I delete the profile folder.

There is option to remove user data when uninstalling. You can also remove the profile folder manually: go to "About Opera", take note of the path, open Windows Explorer, find the profile folder and delete or remove it.
