h264 video playback fails on Opera 34.0.2036.50

For some reason HTML5 video playback for h264 files stopped working this week. It was working fine before that.
apt-cache policy chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra: Installed: 48.0.2564.82-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1108 Candidate: 48.0.2564.82-0ubuntu0.14.04.1.1108
When I copy the ffmpeg lib manually to the opera lib folder, the pages containing the videos crash.
Any help would be appreciated.

I admit I forgot to write on which operating system this is happening. The video playback stopped working on two computers, both running Linux Mint 17.3.

Those HTML5 video playback for h264 files that wasn't playing yesterday or last week, just started playing again today!
Hope they keep playing.

This issue occurs every time I update Opera. It is very annoying and there isn't any stable answer.
Fedora 23 (Workstation Edition) (x86_64; X-LXQt)
