[Solved]Speed dial

Hi,
I have been using Opera for a handful of years. I recently needed to restore my hard drive to its original state. Before I did, I saved some files from Opera; speeddial.ini, operaprefs.ini, and a couple others. After downloading Opera 34 I copied my saved files into ...\appdata...\opera stable. I thought this would restore my speed dial and other preferences, but it didn't.
I hope someone can provide me with detailed instructions that could help me restore my preferences.
Take care,
Bill -

Thank you for your quick response.
From your comment I assume there will be another Opera folder when I install 12.17. If so, do I simply copy my saved files to the new folder (for the old version)? Once I have my preferences active with the old version, how do I import them into 34?
Take care,

The installaion folder will probably be the same but you can change during install.
Profile folders will be different.

In Opera 34 there is an import tool. If it doesn't work, you can reinstall it so data from 12.17 will be automatically imported.

I installed 12.17 and there were new folders ...\appdata\roaming\opera\opera (in addition to the ...\opera software\opera stable).
I copied my files into the ...\opera\opera folder. When I started 12.17 my preferences weren't there. Did I put the files in the correct folder?
Take care,

I went through the process again and I was successful. I have my preferences in 34.
Thank you!
