Uninstalled extensions reappear on Opera restart!

I am using Opera stable latest version 34.0.2036.25. I have several extensions installed. Each time I restart Opera some extensions I uninstalled previously reappear. Some other extensions I have not uninstalled appear inactive - the icon in the toolbar appears as a greyed out jigsaw piece as it does also in the extension manager. Whatever could be causing this? It is a real pain restoring my extension setup on each restart.

I should have added my OS is Windows 10. Also at least one extension that has not been uninstalled but is inactive on restart is the earlier version of the extension on restart. Weird.

What extensions? I know one of my antivirus programs (I have several computers and installed different antivirus software on them) asked to install an extension, but I told it not to ... the point being if the extension was installed by other software you may need to tell that software not to reinstall it.

All my extensions were installed from within Opera either from the Opera extensions pages or the Google Chrome web store.
The problem extensions that keep re appearing after uninstall include IE Tab, Disconnect Search, Bookmarks. Those that appear after restart but appear inactive with a greyed jigsaw icon are Facebook Purity (also reverts to an earlier version), Google Mail Checker and Shuffle Extension Toolbar. Ghostery runs OK but every time I restart it informs me that the latest version has just been installed (same version as before restart).

Not sure now because I decided to uninstall Opera completely and reinstall (the beta this time). Now no problem.
