How can we save 12x extensions in case site gets closed down?

Seeing that opera intends to close down opera link soon, I am assuming that it is possible that they could close other sites like the one that hosts extensions for old opera.

So is it possible to save extensions for a new install if the extension site is no longer available. I think it must be stored somewhere right?

You need to go to the addons page and download the ones you want.

You can also backup your profile folder to save the ones you have already installed.
