how to block banner ad in speed dial

Hi Folks,
i have installed Opera on a new system, and in speed dial there is a banner ad with commercials. How can i block this?

Banner ad? Any extensions? Otherwise, never heard of it (but they may be trying something new).

Commercials or news? Which version of Opera are you using? The full version please, not just '33' but all the numbers after it. As sgunhouse requested also list all of the extensions you have installed too. You can check by hitting Ctrl+Shift+E.

Oh, they said they'd be shipping out some test versions like that ... in some you may even be able to add custom feeds to the News display. Not being able to look at what you have, I can't tell which one you got.
