How do I get the speed dial I want?

I prefer the FVD Speed Dial extension. How can I configure Opera (33 for computers on Windows 10) to display the FVD speed dial by default in all new tabs, rather than having to click the toolbar icon EVERY SINGLE TIME I open a new tab? Otherwise, it kind of defeats the purpose of it.
