Bookmark toolbar behaviour

There is a checkbox in the options, with which you can show bookmarks toolbar under the address bar. But this is a two way switch, either shown or hidden. Is there a possibility to show bookmarks toolbar only on a new tab?

It really bugs me, but...ok. Is there any way to make a feature request to the devs? Or something like that?
