Tab close and UI customization

Ello there. After abandoning Opera for a good year I'm back to see the progress. So far I like 20, it is smooth and suits me better than chrome, I'm advocating Opera again
What I fail to find is a way to tweak my UI for multitab use - having more than 30 is getting uncomfortable - for 3 reasons:- Opera fades the text
- X button on the tab don't seem to be removable
- "Opera" menu button takes a tab worth of space
Anyone has an idea how I can alter any/all of these? I tried searching themes to no avail, opera:flags seems to contain interesting stuff, but nothing about it

Good to know, hopefully not all that long before it shows up hidden in some flags
