Opera doesn't remember login sessions

(This has probably been mentioned somewhere in the forums, but I haven't found it.)
I use Opera 33.0 and apparently it doesn't remember login sessions, meaning that when I exit Opera and half an hour later decide to fire it up again to check something on a forum that I was logged into, I have to log in all over again. Since some sites and forums I use have 2 to 3-step verification login, it's incredibly frustrating and tiresome to have to do this multiple times a day on a regular basis (and no, I don't want to keep Opera open all the time).
We're in 2015 and Opera is, next to Firefox, Chrome and Safari, the most used browser as far as I know. Is it possible for it to have such a gaping hole in its settings? To be honest, I only use it because Firefox has started acting up on me, but so far I'm really disappointed... Can someone help me with this problem?

It does remember. Those things are set via a cookie. If you have cookies set to 'Keep local data only until I quit my browser' in your settings that will remove your session. Also, if you have an extension or program(CCleaner, Glary Utilities, etc) that clean cookies that will also do it. Finally, if there is somehow something wrong with your Opera profile and it is not saving cookies properly that can also do it.

Those forum offer an option to keep you logged in and you have enabled it? Do you have cookies and local storage enabled and you keep their data between sessions?
