Opera 32 randomly opening black new tab

Hi, Opera operates as expected but at random intervals the screen goes blank/black.
I then realised regardless of setting for new tabs to open in background, it was opening a new tab on the screen and flashing site detail bottom left of screen which mainly seems to involve Google, log in etc even though it's not been requested.
It's really annoying as it keeps interrupting what I'm doing and I have to either stop what I'm doing and wait for it to clear which generally takes a few to 30 seconds, or alternatively if I hover over the opera icon at the bottom of the screen I can close the mini screen of it.
Hope someone can help, can't seem to find anyone with same issue.
Thanks in advance.

There is no such setting in Opera Blink.

You were opening those tabs? Or they are being opened random and automatically? If so then it may be a malware.

Hi Leocg, thanks for your reply and apologies for delay in coming back to you.
It's still happening.
I am not opening this extra tab, it happens without warning and is always black/blank, but is always related to Google sign in.
I'd hoped it was a glitch and would get fixed, but no change.
Any ideas of things I could try?

Wow, over 2,000 issues found! I had no idea my McAfee security would miss these. It'll certainly be something I regularly do now.
So far so good.
Thanks Leocg.

There is no single application out there that can protect you from all threats. You need to have several different kinds of protection to cover everything. Having just a virus scanner, like McAfee, leaves you open to basically everything that isn't a virus.
