Disable audio tab indicator

I had the opera://flags/#tab-audio-indicator disabled in previous versions because it annoys the hell out of me.
Suddenly it started showing the audio icon (since 32?) on the tabs again and the flag is nowhere to find to disable it?
How do I disable this? -

Me too, I just asked about this finding the solution to removing the audio indicator for tabs back in May set the flag to disabled and sure enough the past week I find this annoying "feature" right back again!!!!
My eyes are very sensitive to any movement and I constantly find myself looking away from the page when I see the sound meter movement on the tab. Please restore the experiment button to disable this please. Thanks!

Same reason, my eyes are sensitive, a reason why i use dark theme scripts for browsing.
I really need to get rid of that audio icon, it drives me crazy! -

I don't really see any point for that indicator. It maybe might be somewhat usefull if you have multible tabs open, to see which one(s) are with video/audio playback? Option to turn it off would be nice.

Still waiting for an answer from one of the software engineers at Opera!
Easy to add the disable feature back to the flags! Why hasn't anyone done this yet? -

You are gonna be waiting quite awhile then. This is a user forum, the devs don't get out here much. If you want a response from a dev you are more likely to get one if you ask in the comments on the Dev Blog right after a release announcement has been made.

Does anybody know if there is a solution to this? I would love for a static audio indicator like on Chrome. The animated one is very distracting.

Could you give the possibility to deactivate the animated audio indicator and replace it with a static audio indicator. For some people, it is disturbing.
It wouldn't take you big development efforts ...
