I just had to open this topic since I hate being stuck at Opera 18 for months now.
Every newer version is unusable because of the half-developed HiDPI UI.

Especially as an extension developer, it's driving me nuts!

On my QHD+ screen (3200 * 1800 @ 13,3") controls are way too small to be readable. Enabling HiDPI in opera:flags messes it up completely. So that's no option.
Downsizing my screen to 19201080 makes Opera's controls usable again, but e.g. extension popups are totally f** up. Even more than @ 3200 * 1800 cause there I can read it if I put my eyes right in front of the screen (distance of about 20cm that is!!). At FullHD it's just some blurry mass that's not readable at all.

Please, for gods sake, either return to Opera 15-18s blurry UI until you find a proper solution or speed up development!

Yeah, we've had lots of problem with the stupid HiDPI UI thingies. But because of that I can guarantee you that it's being looked into and a fix for it is being worked on 🙂

They think they have a fix for it, we'll have to see if it makes it into the next version. (Sometimes there are issues which prevent them from doing so ...)

Hi Christoph, I think I already responded couple of times under the blog posts. It broke with one of the Chromium intakes, we are aware of it, then we focused on getting Aura for Windows. I can tell you that more devs will be working now on it and we are fixing it now.
