Where is the EDIT function ???
When translating text, it is easy [on Chrome] to copy sections of foreign text, paste it into Googletranslate and read it in English.
How can I do this on Opera ???

What you describe sounds fine - highlight the text, then right-click and select Copy, etc. ... unless perhaps you have no pointing device?

Ctrl+C to copy, Ctrl+V to paste, just like in any other application. Or right click highlight text as sgunhouse mentioned.
