I'm sorry but the curt response to my question about chrome's little flaw of spying on me.

  • Opera 30.0

    Made to discover

    Version information

Version: 30.0.1835.88 - Opera is up to date
    Update stream: Stable
    System: Windows 7 64-bit (WoW64)
    Browser identification

    Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/43.0.2357.125 Safari/537.36 OPR/30.0.1835.88 (Edition Campaign 18)

    Chrome/43.0.2357.125

    Is very annoying.

It seems OPERA uses chrome and it would be nice to know that it is not prone to the same problem.

Wrong forum is hardly an answer.

"But open source advocates are up in arms about it also being installed with the open source variant Chromium, because the listening code is considered to be "black box", not part of the open source audit process.

"We don't know and can't know what this black box does," said Falkvinge."

  • As i said, Opera is noty affected by this issue.
